Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) Dianne Maidment

Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) Dianne Maidment was born in Petites, Newfoundland and Labrador (NL).  She attended St James High School and District Vocational School in Port aux Basques, NL.  She joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1981 as a Medical Assistant.  After completing Basic Training and Medical Training she was posted to Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Edmonton, AB.  Four years later she was posted to CFB Lahr, Germany where she deployed to Qatar in support of the Persian Gulf War.  Upon her return to Canada in 1991 she was posted to 1 Field Ambulance Calgary, AB however she immediately returned to CFB Borden, ON to complete her Physician Assistant Training.  Upon completion of her Physician Assistant Training she was deployed to Former Yugoslavia.  In 1995 as a Warrant Officer (WO) and a new mom CWO Maidment proceeded to CFB Moose Jaw, SK.  After only two years she was posted to CFB Greenwood, NS where she served for six years, which included a deployment to Golan Heights, Israel followed by a deployment to the United Arab Emirates in support of Afghanistan. 

In 2003 Master Warrant Officer (MWO) Maidment was posted to Ottawa, ON.  After promotion to CWO she returned to NS.  After a short stay in Halifax she returned to CFB Borden as the Canadian Forces Health Services Training Center (CFHSTC) Chief Warrant Officer.  In 2013 CWO Maidment joined the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) staff in Ottawa as a member of Director Air Personnel Management where she represented RCAF Non-Commissioned Members (NCMs) in regards to all Professional Development Programs.  CWO Maidment is looking forward to returning to NL and her new responsibilities as the 9 Wing Wing CWO.
